Family Health Assessment

Family Structure family consist of a father who is 50 years old, a mother who is 45 years old, a son who is 21, a daughter who is 17 and another daughter who is 14. Roles are not really identified, there is not just one person in charge. The Father and mother share all of the rule making and most of the responsibilities. Everyone in the household is expect to help clean, cook, and whatever else needs to be done to keep things running smooth. Working as a team the whole family serves as a strength. The stressor in the household would happen when one person in the family does not pull their way, which does not happen that often. Socio-economic This family is average as far as socio-economics in contrast with others. They are not rich nor poor. The father has a few college courses under his belt, but has managed to go far in the postal service being a manager of the maintenance department. The mother has an associates in nursing degree and is continuing on getting her BA degree. Income level is fair and makes life comfortable. The two girls are still in high school, and the boy is one class away from getting his AA degree. The son works part time just to have spending money, but the father and mother pay for his college, car insurance, and gas. The most important thing to the family is education. The mother did volunteer in the school system when the kids were young. No one else volunteers although the two girls are signing up to volunteer in the hospital.
