Application Paper Source: A biography, autobiography, or memoir which you have not previously read. Date Due: Apr 4 Length: 7 double-spaced typed pages (in other words, not handwritten). English Skills: A paper will be considered unacceptable if it contains any combination of five spelling or grammatical errors. Grading: Students will be graded on their ability to integrate and apply class material with real-life analysis based on the person described in your book. Students will be graded on their ability to do two things: 1. Describe class concepts in appropriate detail. A significant portion of the grade (25 points) will be based on how much class material is included in the Application Paper. As a general rule each topic should be summarized in a minimum of two paragraphs. Students must discuss at least 5 different topic areas from the course. For example: Big 5 (which counts as two topics), need for achievement, Type-A personality, self-actualization, self-handicapping. 2. The quality of applications of class concepts with real-life situations described in the book. A significant portion of the grade will be based on the appropriateness and richness of real-life examples cited. The applications should provide sufficient details from the biography/memoir that relate to the topic being discussed. (25 points)
