Safavi, K. S. (2006). Patient-centered pay for performance: Are we missing the target? Journal of Healthcare Management, 51(4), 215–218.
In the article Safavi discusses issues which were first raised by Donabedian in 1980 such as: How highly do patients value quality? Are patients able to assess the technical component of care?
