You will be expected to be prepared, not simply to
analyse a theoretical debate critically, but to take a stance in relation to that debate, and defend that stance through appropriate use of evidence and argument supporting their chosen position.
NOTE:you cannot choose a Theme on which you have already submitted a Thematic Overview. You must choose a different Theme for your major Research Essay!
- The Major Essay must engage withat least 6 texts assigned for the course, and must clearlyrelate to at least one of the Themesdiscussed in the course.
- In addition, the Major Essay must involve a significant engagement with theoretical literature beyond that assigned for the course, with at least 12 works sourced independently.
