The student will be responsible for researching a topic related to a concept or exemplar covered in NUR 216. The research topic and thesis statement must be approved by the instructor prior to February 21, 2017. This is meant to develop beginning research skills and introduce the student to scholarly writing. Procedure: When choosing a topic, consider that you will be expected to narrow your topic to cover it efficiently in a 6-8 page paper (the cover page and reference page do not count in the 6-8 pages). Use the rubric as a guideline to organize relevant information related to your topic. The student must use a combination of following resources for the paper: • textbook for NUR 216 • Two peer-reviewed journal articles published within the last 5 years • Two credible websites (.gov, .edu, etc).
