Qualitative Research Problem
It’s been observed that risk of disparity of disease and disability has increased. Blacks are more likely than whites to be overweight and obese. Nearly seven of 10 blacks are either overweight or obese (69%) compared with 54 percent of white individuals(Holly Mead, 2008).According to health care quality survey performed by Commonwealth Fund, 8% of whites, 15% of Blacks, 14% of Hispanic and 18% of Asian are suffering from diabetes. This is happening due to health disparity on racial and ethnic basis which is due to lifestyle and poor health services provided.
Purpose Statement
The study will be proposed to test through qualitative research the people who are suffering from diabetes. Group discussion will be arranged to understand how the diabetes can be cured or prevented through influencing the targeted community.
Research Question
What is the rating of the community for the health program undertaken on the scale of 10?
Is health promotion program making members aware of the various health diseases?
What is their achievement from program in case of health lifestyle on scale of 10?
Is the program fulfilling objective of removing disparity in health conditions?
