The medical community, and nursing staff in particular, have proved resistive to computerisation despite substantial evidence that it will improve practice and patient outcomes (Mathur, Stanton, & Reid, 2005; Qayumi et al., 2004; Ray & Berger, 2010). The following article was selected to assist with forming an understanding of nurses’ attitudes towards computerised systems.
