Dispositional theories relate to a person’s mood or personality trait and how they respond to certain situations (stable and predictable responses.) For example, when individuals are referred to as looking at life through “rose color glasses”, they have the tendency (trait) to see things in a positive light; conversely, when individuals refer to the “dark cloud looming overhead”, they are at the opposite end of the spectrum seeing things negatively.
