Teenagers are laying the foundations for the habits that will form their lives. They are making lifestyle decisions that will impact their health now or in later years, or the health of others. Important decisions relate to diet, physical activity, sexual activity, use of technology, use of time and use of drugs.
Your task is to prepare a mode of communication that could be used to inform teenagers and influence their decisions about lifestyle choices. The intent is that as a result of decisions in the teenage years, people will have better health, quality of life and capacity to contribute positively to society in later years. It is also hoped that the long term impacts of teenage choices on society will contribute to a more productive society and that unproductive costs to governments will be minimised.
Communication mode:
Present information about your selected lifestyle choice in a pamphlet, poster, PowerPoint presentation, short film, interview, website or phone application suitable for engaging a teenage audience. (KU3)

You must inform your teacher of the mode of communication you plan to use so that you receive guidelines for submission that is suitable to the SACE board.
Assessment conditions:
You will be given 3 lessons of class time for research and/or preparation of a suitable mode of communication. You will be expected to utilise homework and class notes also in order to complete this task. This will be an individual task unless your presentation is an interview when it may involve two people. In this case the interview must be presented orally to the class and the work of each person needs to be identifiable both in the interview and in the draft outline and the final outline. You must discuss this with your teacher in the planning stage.
A draft must be completed by Monday Week 12 (23/04/18). Drafting is necessary to validate your work as your own.
The final presentation of the mode of communication will be shown to the class in Week 13 or 14 . You will need to submit the final mode of communication along with additional information sheets one week after the draft is returned.
