Stan is a 42 year old brick layer with carpal tunnel syndrome. Stan works 50 – 60 hours a week on the tools and as a result, often has a sore neck and an aching upper back. Stan advises that his knees have been hurting in the mornings when he wakes up and that the aching doesn’t ease for at least an hour or two. Stan is overweight and commenced a regular gym routine 2 months ago. Stan takes beta-blockers for his blood pressure.
